Lead Minister
Greg Herriford
In November 2022, Greg Herriford became the Lead Minister at FCC. Greg came to FCC from the Mt. Eden Christian Church in Spears, KY, where he served as Preaching Minister for nearly seven years (2015-2022).
Prior to preaching, Greg served for 20 years (1995-2015) with Mission Journeys, a ministry based out of Lexington, KY. During his time on staff with Mission Journeys, Greg was responsible for organizing and overseeing several hundred short-term mission trips to many locations and countries. He also helped launch new mission initiatives in Belize, Haiti, Honduras, and Eastern Kentucky. Greg continues to be involved with Mission Journeys, helping with programming and development projects for the organization.
Greg graduated from Morehead (KY) State University in 1993 with a BA degree in Journalism. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Ministry Leadership from Central Christian College of the Bible (Moberly, MO) in 2023.
He and his wife Kelly live in Lexington, KY, and they have two adult daughters (Autumn and Meredith) and one son-in-law (Jacob Tellman).
