What's Happening at FCC
March 24, 2023, 12:00 AM

Greetings in Christ!

I hope and pray you've had a great week. I've been a little under the weather this week and have pretty much stayed at home. The good news is that I'm feeling better and will be ready to go this weekend.

I'm really excited about tomorrow - Saturday, March 25. FCC will be partnering with other churches in Cynthiana, KY, to pack around 15,000 meals for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

In addition to that, there's been a bunch of great stuff happening at FCC recently.

Several members of our Missions Team at FCC got to meet one of our new missionaries we are supporting last Saturday night (March 18). Denford Chizanga did a great job in presenting the work of the Africa Development Mission. Denford, along with his wife Shingirirai, founded the mission in January 2002 out of a desire to present the saving message of Jesus Christ to those in Zimbabwe, Africa, and beyond and to train believers to be effective in their lives and ministry.

The Ladies Bible Study got off to a great start last Sunday night (March 19).

I also received an encouraging text from Darlene Lady who has been attending FCC during the last few months. I was privileged to baptize her into Christ in September of 2021. Her text reads like this:

Pastor Greg,

I have great news! I'm in remission! Glory to God! I found out this morning. I'm so happy. Thank you, Jesus. I had to let you know. I went from 4th stage cancer to remission. I owe it all to God.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, March 26.  We will continue in the series of messages called “Close Encounters of the Fourth Gospel.” I will be bringing a message about an encounter in Chapter 9 of John between Jesus and a man who was born blind.

God bless and see you soon!
